“Youth Empowerment for Peace and Resilience Building and Prevention of Violent Extremism through Teacher Development for Africa; Sahel Countries” The training in Japan started -28 trainees from African conflicts countries visit Tokyo and Hiroshima.
Hiroshima University accepts trainees form African conflicts countries as a project called “Youth Empowerment for Peace and Resilience Building and Prevention of Violent Extremism through Teacher Development for Sahel Countries”. This project is requested by UNESCO-IICBA, and 28 participants from 12 countries in the African Sahel area visit Japan.

Reporting Session with Sophia University

As part of UNESCO-IICBA’s Japan-supported project, Youth Empowerment for Peace and Resilience Building and Prevention of Violent Extremism through Teacher Development for Sahel Countries, a total of 21 trainers and policy administrators will travel to Tokyo and Hiroshima, Japan to undergo training, visit relevant government departments, participate in discussions and attend lectures. At this reporting session, participants from the 11 participating countries will share what they have learned from Japan’s approach to education and peace-building through teacher training and development.
