As Prof. T. Kusakabe joined Comparative and International Education Society (CIES) in San Francisco
As Prof. Kusakabe joined CIES and presented his research entitled “Creating Muslimness in Unrecognized Madrasas in South Asia” on 16th April at Hyatt Regency, San Francisco. At the presentation, he argued to conceptualize a circulative structure of “re-created Muslimness” which is made in unrecognized madrasas in South Asia. The research content is characterized 15years field research based on the field research in Bangladesh and India. He expanded his research network through the session or in various discussion in or out of the venue. His former Ph.D Student Dr. Mousumi Manjuma Akhtar (BRAC University, Bangladesh) was invited by him and presented the CIES.
