Group A meeting was organized by Hiroshima University and was held at Hiroshima International Center, Hiroshima City. The meeting had two sections; one was to share and discuss the progress of each study and to prepare for the mid-term report meeting in March 2011. The purpose of the other section was to have four lectures on gender and equity (boy’s education in Kenya, women studies in Japan, peace education in Singapore and SACMEQ studies) and deepen the knowledge of its application especially in developing counties. As part of the Group A seminar, we participated in the International Seminar on Quality of Education under Universal Primary Education Policy in Sub-Saharan Africa organized by Kobe University on January 18.
