Staff Exchange: The 30th Annual May Educational Conference at Bahir Dar University, 25-26 May 2012
In response to invitation from Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia, for the 30th Annual May Educational Conference, which was held at Bahir Dar University on May 25-26, Professor Kazuhiro Yoshida, Hiroshima University, and Professor Fatuma Chege, Kenyatta University, participated in the conference titled “Practices, Challenges and Trends in Education Systems – International Perspectives and Ethiopian Experiences.” As a guest speaker, Professor Yoshida talked about “Education for All, Changing Aid Modality, and Roles of Researchers for Policy Effectiveness”, and Professor Fatuma Chege gave her talk about “Masculinisation of Gender-Based Violence in Schools and Educational Settings: Implications for Gender, Equity and Citizenship.” The two professors were invited by Bahir Dar University under the Africa-Asia University Dialogue for Educational Development Network.
